14 CMCE protocol
14.1 Introduction
This clause defines the layer 3.2 CMCE air interface protocol for the MS. There shall be a peer-to-peer relationship
between the layers on the terminal side and the SwMI side. The protocol for the SwMI side is, however, outside the
scope of the present document. The CMCE protocol is the network layer protocol that shall be used to provide services
to an end user application in the area of CC services, of SDS and of supplementary services.
